Chiswick locksmith repair all safe locks including digital ones! I opened this earlier today, the batteries had gone flat ages ago (as usual) and they no key for the override, opening was easy as it had the 7 pin tubular lock but the code is now not working.
Could anyone let me know what the safe is so I can research how to re set the battery operated code or even better how to re set it? Usually these tin boxes have a button on the inside that when depressed allows code change. Lost count of how many of these I’ve found the override keys inside. Great advice over a wide spectrum of questions not to mention the banter Smile. Anyway, on to the issue at hand. I have a friend who has recently opened a burger joint in Colchester, and inherited a few small cashier safes when he bought the premises. One of the safes is an antique Ratner safe (which is open), but he has no keys for it. I said I would have a look at it, but it's out of my league. It's a change key safe lock type and I wouldn't know where to begin. Can Chiswick locksmith shop suggest the best course of action for this guy? He's had a quote for £450 +VAT.
I appreciate that. I sent it off yesterday to get refurbished and have a few change keys made up.The guy who owns the safe has a couple of other small cashier safes that are locked. He would love to know what's in them. If you're interested, I could send you some pics of the safes and pass you his details. Well, I have received the refurbished lock (with 3 new keys) from repairer and it works a real treat, however I am having a little problem with the re-locker. I can see the hole on the top where the pin fits, and the same on the base of the lock; but the re-locker won't reset...it won't depress downwards on its rod and spring. I have had a good look and feel around but can't see any obstruction or misalignment. Anyone got a clue?
Sounds like it is cross locked , often there is a split pin or a Allen key on the side of it which has to be removed before you can push the re locker back. Not really locksmithing that much nowadays due to new business venture but i have a good friend who works at the Chiswick locksmith shop has just moved into new house and found a floor safe with no given combination! Any ideas boys. It’s a Churchill Bulldog A13217. |
