Hi locksmith Northern Ireland I'm having some problems picking the cisa astral s just wondering if anybody knows if it can be bumped and if so who sells bump keys for them or if anyone has any picking tips?
These can be picked and bumped. I don't know if you can legitimately buy bump keys, but I have seen an Eastern European video showing the astral s being bumped. If you can get a blank you could make your own key. I have a bump key for the garrison and it bumps in seconds. I don't know if Jay sells this type of key in the shop, but I have seen dimple bump keys online. Asked today, to go and open a wheel clamp on a caravan. (The sort of wheel clamp that prevents the caravan being stolen, I hasten to add LOL). Anyway, it was a small oval cylinder, - no name on it, with a very small keyway. Keys are lost for it, but I thought I'd have a go at NDEing it anyway, as I had a bit of spare time. I tried everything, but couldn't get it to open. Keyway was very tight. The Customer (who is my Mechanic) said he'd drill the lock, but would like me to source a replacement. From what I remember reading locksmith Northern Ireland info in the past, I think it's probably a Cisa/Papaiz 27mm x 13mm. Does anyone have any ideas who stocks these now?
I have no idea what the back-end of the cylinder looks like, but I would assume it's a single Oval, and judging by the wheel clamp surround, feel it must work in a similar way to a 'bullet lock'. So, does anyone know if it's likely to be 'just' a small single sided oval, or will it have any 'special' parts on the back. I'll know more when the Customer shows me the lock, as he's going to drill and remove it, but I'm just trying to find out what I'm looking for, and where to get one. I must admit I tried to get a mini jiggler in the keyway Jay, but it was too tight, and I thought 'I must be mad even contemplating using a jiggler on this!' LOL, so good to know I wasn't bonkers, though it did seem logical to try it.
I tried all of the following:- Manual Pickgun EPG (flat blade and rake) Majestic Picks Southord Picks Wiggler Rakes Mini Jigglers Bump keys (got them out, but all were way too big). I've contacted Duffells, and they've got a few in, but they couldn't tell me what was on the back end. My instinct tells me it has to have a shaft of some sort to go through the holes in the individual bars of the Wheel Clamp to hold it closed, and I assume the 'cam' locks into a cut-out in the housing, preventing the lock from being removed. Hopefully the locksmith Northern Ireland customer will be able to show me the lock soon. |
